I can safely say my bake sale was a complete success! For my mission project at church, I decided to hold a bake sale with my mentor, Pat. We made homemade chex mix, cinnamon apple chex mix, brownies, happy face pops(decorated sugar cookies on a lollipop stick), peanut blossom cookies(peanut butter cookies with a kiss in the middle), molasses crinkle cookies, rice krispie treats, goodie goodie bags(with kettle corn, mixed nuts, and m&m's), and 2 acorn shaped cakes--I made those and decorated them myself! And another lady at church donated 3 dozen peanut butter cookies to us.
My idea was to raffle off the two cakes, each ticket at a dollar (we actually sold everything at $1.00--so it would be easy to make change!). I sold 87 tickets.
The grand total of today was $237.00!!! Everybody loved our goodies! Pat and I baked in the church kitchen, because it has two ovens and we had lots more space. Between baking, decorating, and packaging stuff up, we were at the church from 1 pm until 7:45 pm! We had lots of fun though. !!!
