This move to Texas sure has been an adventure! Especially since we started out moving to Cali....
Anyways, I have done so much in the last three weeks, with more to come!
Here is a quick summary:
We left Florida on June 9th. We drove all the way to Texas in two and a half days.
In Texas, we stopped in Dallas for 3 days to visit my Grandma. (We got there Friday, left Sunday)
From Texas, We drove to Kansas City to meet my Uncle Bill for dinner. We left Kansas City at like 2 am and drove on to West Union, Iowa. We spent some time there, visiting my Aunt Deb, my Aunt Barb, and my cousins Kristi and Amber. I also got to meet Amber's baby boy. (My other two cousins were in Chicago and weren't able to come) We did some fishing in my dad's old fishing spot (West Union is where he grew up)
We left West Union and made our way to Minnesota.
We stopped in Minniapolis, MN for a night and went to Mall of America. We left the next morning for Bemidji, MN. There, we spent a week at Ruttgers Resort. That was so pretty! I got to see my Grandpa every day, which was a lot of fun. I went kayaking and Canoeing, and eventually tipped the canoe with my brother.
We left Bemidji and drove to Ann Arbor. There, we stayed with my Dad's best friend and his wife. I also got to go back to Greenfield Village for one more day. I even figured out how to walk on stilts there! Later that night, I got to go over to Twelve Oaks Mall and see my old hairdresser and get a good hair cut. Then, I got to see my best friend!!! That was a lot of fun!
We left Michigan and left for Missouri (where I am now) We stopped to see the Gateway Arch, and ride up in there. Right now, we are in Springfield. Last night, we stopped in a restaurant where they throw the rolls at you! This guy comes out saying "Hot Rolls!" and you raise your hand, and he throws a roll at you. It was pretty cool! If you are ever in Springfield, go to Lamberts Cafe. It's Awesome! (It's worth the wait--we waited for almost 2 hours!)
So here I am this morning. More posts to come!!! (And tons of pics...)
